Our wine list
Our wine list has been well known to the wine trade for many years. The list represents the fruition of the Morris & Verdin partnership between Jasper Morris MW and Boathouse owner Anthony Verdin.
For the wine lover, our reputation is first and foremost outstanding value for money. The list has a high proportion of famous producers and is exceptional for its rare wines and older vintages.
The Boathouse continues to have a strong relationship with Fields, Morris and Verdin today (now owned by Berry Brothers), as well as other wine merchants such as Flint, Bancroft, Thorman Hunt, Pol Roger, and local suppliers Grape Minds in Summer Town.
The list is managed by restaurant manager Brice Guibert and Arthur Verdin who are always pleased to offer advice and assistance with wine selection for an impromptu lunch or a large party.
To enjoy some of the older wines to their fullest potential it is advisable to allow time for us to decant and let the wine breath before you arrive (usually one hour or even longer at times).

Our Head Chef Paul Bell has been with us for a number of years now. He's travelled the world to master his culinary skills and has a commitment to serving quality, exciting dishes.
Our Atmosphere
Cherwell Boathouse is a family run venue with a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We're lucky to have some very experienced staff who have been with us for many years and love what they do. We take pride in our service and do our best to give everyone a memorable experience.
