An Evening Of Short Plays…
THE LOWER BOATHOUSE is a spectacular riverside venue, intimate and atmospheric, set alongside the River Cherwell in Oxford. In this context it lends itself readily to summertime music & theatre art events.
This is the fourth summer season in the Lower Boathouse which promises to be a great year for theatre & music evenings!
For our first Lower Boathouse event of this season we’ll be delving in to the world of acting, with an evening of short plays performed by the Oxford Playwrights Group.
Oxford Playwrights Group meet monthly to read and discuss members’ scripts and to plan productions. Their other activities include dedicated writing sessions and events with guest theatre professionals.
This will be the fourth evening of plays from Oxford Playwrights at Lower Boathouse riverside venue. Previous theatre events have proven to be very popular and entertaining, so be sure to get your ticket in advance!
The theme for this years plays is…Breaking The Rules! This is explored through the performance of six short plays.
For those wishing to dine out and make an evening of it, we’ll be serving a Buffet during the half way interval! This will be served in the Marquee overlooking the river, where you can sit to enjoy your food, purchase drinks from the bar, or just relax and chat about the first half of the show!
When booking, please make sure you select the correct ticket type if you intend to eat. We need to know numbers to cater for prior to the performance so we have as little wastage as possible.
