Opera On Punts…

with Opera Anywhere!!!

This Sunday 21st July we’re delighted to bring you the fourth installment of the infamous Opera On Punts with OPERA ANYWHERE!

This unique performance of Opera on Punts is one of the highligts on our summer calender and deffinitely an occasion not to be missed!

After an opening show at the Boathouse, Opera Anywhere will punt & sing their way downstream to the University parks, arriving around 6:00pm. We’ll stop off for an hour of picnics & more opera before making our merry way back to the Boathouse.

Everyone welcome to come along and enjoy the spectacle. You can relax with a Pimm’s at the Boathouse for the first part of the performance. Hire a punt (no booking) and follow the opera along the river. Alternately you can book a chauffeur to do all of the work for you…sit back, relax & enjoy!

We are taking bookings for picnics to bring with you to the Parks, these need to be pre ordered by Saturday 20th July 12 noon latest. Once you have booked your picnic, please email us with regards to dietary requirements & allergies.

The last three years have been very busy, so if you aren’t booking a chauffeured punt it’s best to get here early incase there’s a queue!

INFORMATION:

** CHAUFFEURED PUNTS + PICNICS MUST BE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE **

** SELF HIRE PUNTS MUST BE PAID FOR UPON RETURN **

 

Bookings will close Saturday 21st July at 12pm

Chauffeured punt (max 5 people) – £75 (per boat)

Picnic package – £16.00 (per person):

Smoked salmon & cream cheese or Cherry tomato, mozzarella, basil pesto (v) canapés, charcuterie or marinated vegetables (v), couscous with chicken kebabs or feta (v), strawberries & cream.

** Either meat/fish or Vegetarian (not both) **

All picnics can be picked up from the Lower Boathouse, next to the river on the right hand side as you come down the drive.

If you have booked a picnic, there will be limited amount of punts allocated. If it’s a busy day and these punts run out, there’s a chance a queue will start to form.

 

Order of play:

5:00pm – 5:30pm Opera at Cherwell Boathouse
5:30pm – 6:00pm Punt to Oxford Uni Parks
6:00pm – 7:00pm Opera in the Parks
7:00pm – 7:30pm Punt back to Cherwell Boathouse

Punt Opening Hours: 10am – dusk (no bookings)

Self Hire Punts: £20 per boat per hour (max 6 people)

Restaurant Kitchen Opening Hours: 12pm – 3pm & 6pm – 9pm
(booking in advance advised)
