The Cherwell Boathouse is 1.5 miles from the centre of Oxford.
It can be accessed by bus to park town from either the town centre or Summertown, and it is a 5 minute walk down Bardwell road just past the Dragon School playing fields. From the railway station or town centre it is a 5-10 minute taxi ride ( traffic dependant ). Alternatively there is lovely walk through the University parks that is very scenic and and about 25-30 minutes from the town centre.
There is a small car that can fill quickly on weekends, there is also free parking on both Chadlington and Bardwell roads for up to 3 hours to 4pm, after this and on Sunday it is free for unlimited time. Availability is normally good, but can be busy during Dragon school collection Saturday 12:30pm.
